Wardrobe Tips

Deciding what to wear for your session can be just as challenging as deciding on a location.  These are photos you are going to hang on your walls and cherish for years to come.  It can seem overwhelming when considering what to wear but it doesn't have to be that way.

Tips to get you started!

Coordinate, rather than match

Start with a couple of neutral colors and then try to add an accent color from there. Make sure that all your pieces fit within the same general color scheme.

Texture/Layers

Texture adds interest and layers add depth. Take your photos to the next level by picking pieces that have varying textures, and consider wearing a shirt over a shirt or a jean jacket to finish your look.

Include accessories

Polish off your look with the right accessories.  This could be things like a belt, scarf, jewelry, or hat.  Anything that adds that extra bit of pop you are looking for in your final images.

Section Title

Once you book your session, start thinking about what to wear for your session right away!  You may think certain clothes are ready to go and that that dress you love is clean.   Plan ahead!  Lay out your outfits, try it all on, accessories and all.  Make sure you can find everything you are wanting to wear and that it's clean, ironed, and looking its best.

Avoid words on shirts

Words or graphics on a shirt can be a huge distraction.  That shirt may be your favorite shirt and it might be really comfortable, but it will probably take away from the magic in your final image.
